February 2nd, 2015
The 2015 Carolina Construction & Environmental Claims Conference will be held March 6, 2015 in Charlotte, NC. This year’s conference will focus on working together as a team to build a solid defense, including the inter-relationship of marketing, underwriting, claims, and risk management.
I will be presenting speaking about the use of isotope analysis to identify the source of contaminants; compliance with Daubert and legal sufficiency standards. I will also address use of isotope analysis in relation to coal ash. Other topics will include an update on current construction, environmental and claim issues, business practices that could undermine insurance coverage and the best practices for selecting and using experts. There will also be a panel discussion on working with brokers, underwriting issues and types of policies, riders, exclusions and self-insured retention issues.
